What a wonderful day it would be if Karen’s Armstrong’s fundamental idea about how to treat our neighbor (see video below) actually took hold and spread like she implies that it can. I feel a little like a beauty pageant contestant who, too ideal in her beliefs about humanity, actually feels World Peace is possible. Like Ms. Armstrong, and the idealistic beauty pageant contestant, I will continue to hope and envision that we are capable of a global spirit of compassion because to do so is to continue to uncover the larger narrative of what it is to be human.
